Fusion Housing
Fusion is a registered charity working to help individuals who are experiencing housing related problems and need support, advice and guidance to resolve these. Preventing homelessness for the first or subsequent time is at the heart of everything that we do.
Fusion Housing was created in 2010 but its roots in Kirklees go back much further. Fusion Housing grew out of the joining of SHAP which supported people to successfully maintain and keep their tenancies and CHAS whose basis in Kirklees was providing housing advice and a Bond Guarantee Scheme.
Fusion’s Mission is to ‘empower people to make informed life choices and to actively take part in shaping a positive future for themselves and their communities’.
Fusion aims to ensure that individuals and families have access to suitable, affordable accommodation along with the skills needed to successfully manage and keep that accommodation; helping them to overcome the barriers that can prevent them from realising their potential. Most clients accessing our services are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
